CHILDREN across Wyre Forest are invited to this year’s Playday at Lickhill Memorial Park in Stourport-on-Severn on Wednesday (August 5).
From 11am to 3pm, Lickhill Memorial Park will be transformed into an outdoor playground where children, young people and families can have a fun-filled day and take part in the annual celebration of children's right to play in this national free event organised by Wyre Forest District Council.
Kazzum Theatre, as previously featured in Kidderminster Arts Festival (KAF), will be keeping the crowds entertained with their show ‘Nana’s Jumble’.
There will be donkey rides, a mini fairground, swing chairs, and face painting.
Entry to this event is free, although there is a small charge for some activities.
Refreshments will be available with the chance to make your very own smoothie.
Wyre Forest District Council’s sports team will be leading a range of sporting activities and games alongside Kidderminster Harriers.
Councillor Sally Chambers, Wyre Forest District Council’s cabinet member for health, well-being and housing, said: “National Playday is a fantastic event which brings families within the local community together. The annual event has plenty to offer and is always a big hit with families every year. We look forward to seeing you there.”
