BUDDING Black Country actors are being given the chance to appear on the silver screen by securing a part in She Who Brings Gifts.

Starring Gemma Arterton, Paddy Considine and Glenn Close, scenes are currently being filmed in the West Midlands, including Dudley and Halesowen.

In the film, most of humanity has been wiped out by a fungal infection and the infected - who are referred to as hungries - lose their mental powers and feed on the flesh of healthy humans.

Filmmakers are looking for local volunteers aged between 18 and 70 to play hungries in Dudley on Sunday (June 7).

No previous filming or acting experience is necessary but there will be a ‘hungries school’ on the day with movement directors and prosthetics on hand to get people looking the part.

To get involved, people should email the following information to sa.swbg@gmail.com by Wednesday (June 3) with the subject line SHE WHO BRINGS GIFTS OPEN CASTING BIRMINGHAM.
