A MAN sexually assaulted a woman before stealing a phone, according to police.

West Mercia Police is appealing for witnesses following a series of thefts from business premises on Worcester Road, Bromsgrove on Thursday, May 28.

The first incident is alleged to have taken place at 4.30pm, where police say the offender engaged staff in conversation and then stole an unattended mobile phone.

While at this first location, the man is also alleged to have sexually assaulted a woman, by touching her chest.

The second incident is reported to have occurred at 5.20pm were the man once again tried to distract staff steal a mobile phone.

The suspect is described as being a white Eastern European man, around 17 to 20 years of age, between 5'3" and 5'6" in height, with short hair.
