TWO teenage girls were thrown from their horses in the Malvern Hills today.
The animals were spooked by a walker and bolted, leading to reports that the horses were running loose in the Wyche cutting area and surrounding roads.
Police were informed of the incident but there were no injuries or accidents.
The horses were found grazing in the Beacon Road car park.
The teenage riders, who had been travelling along the Worcestershire Beacon bridleway, were safely reunited with the horses.
West Mercia Police officers tweeted from @Malvern Cops at 3.21pm: "Reports of two 'saddled' horses running loose on Wycherley Cutting and surrounding roads. Take care #DriveSafe."
They added at 3.45pm: “#Yeehaw horses and riders reunited, they weren't parted #furlong. We've #galloped up no injuries to either and now #weareoff.”
