THERE will be a lunch club in Ludlow for people living in the town with dementia and their carers.
It will be at the Helena Lane Centre in the town on Tuesday, April 14 between 11am and 2pm.
The club, which takes place every second Tuesday of the month, offers people a chance to take part in a number of activities, have lunch, and make friends with others in their community.
It costs £8.50 for a two-course lunch and drinks.
The sessions are organised by Shropshire Council in partnership with Healthy Friendships, Hands Together Ludlow, and Helena Lane’s daycare team.
“The club is open to local people and provides a friendly space in which people who experience dementia can catch up with friends, or meet new ones,” said Lee Chapman, Shropshire Council’s cabinet member for adult services.
“It’s a great way for people to be part of their community, and remain as independent as possible.”
More information is available from David Key at Helena Lane by calling 01584 871400.
