PROCEEDS from a charity shopping event in Stourbridge will be donated to town's branch of the RSPCA.

The fundraiser, organised by the Stourbridge Saints Charity Events, will take place at the Talbot Hotel, High Street, on Saturday February 7, from noon to 4pm.

Shoppers can browse a variety of stalls selling shabby chic gifts, jewellery, beauty products, craft items, children's books, cards and candles.

Donations of Whiskas and Felix pouches will be gratefully received at the event and people will be able to find out more about the charity's work in the local area.

The charity is also desperately looking for homes for two cats in their care, Missy and Molly.

Missy, a long haired tabby cat requires an experienced owner who can give her the time she needs to settle.

Although she does enjoy fuss, she can hiss and swipe if she feels uncomfortable, so could not be rehomed with children or other animals.

Molly would also need to be an only cat and needs daily medication as she suffers from hyperthyroidism.

She also requires regular blood tests to check her thyroid level and ensure she is on the correct level of medication.

Stourbridge RSPCA will continue to pay Molly's veterinary costs relating to her hyperthyroid for the rest of her life, provided she is rehomed locally.

Anyone keen to rehome either cat should call 01384 376664.
