CCTV images of three women have been released by detectives in a bid to trace those responsible for a distraction burglary on a Halesowen pensioner.
Detectives believe the thieves followed the 87-year-old woman after she got off the bus near Long Mynd, Hayley Green, at noon on June 10.
The pensioner had returned from a shopping trip when the trio of tricksters, whom she recalled had been travelling on the same bus, knocked on her door, One of them asked for directions to a hospital while another asked to use her toilet before then asking for a glass of water. While the women were in the house £400 was stolen.
Acting detective sergeant Matt Nightingale, from Dudley CID, said: "Inquires so far have revealed that the women followed the pensioner from Asda, then onto the bus and then to her home.”
He appealed for anyone who recognises the three in the images to call the police on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
