More than 3,000 people have signed a petition supporting campaigners who are fighting to keep the under-threat Broadfields Adult Day Centre in Edgware open.
"It gives you a buzz to know that people do care about those that are less fortunate," said John Sullivan, whose 38-year-old daughter Susan has Down's Syndrome, she has been going to the centre for the last 20 years.
The centre in Springwood Crescent faces an uncertain future and the council is consulting users around the borough about a possible closure.
Staff have been told the closure is a fait accompli.
Tickets for the campaign's fundraising disco on May 19 are £5 per couple.
For more information call John Sullivan on 07711 934499.
