Art contest

3:20pm Tuesday 1st July 2008

YOUNGSTERS from a Redditch nursery got to the art of the matter when they entered a competition along with children from throughout Europe.

This is the fourth year in succession that Bridgestone, a global tyre manufacturer, has organised its "dreams at heArt" competition, designed to encourage children to use their imaginations to show how they imagine safe travel on a planet called Ecopia, by visualising this through their artwork.

The competition is one of many activities Bridgestone carries out as part of its overall "safety at heArt" concept which encourages safe and responsible road use.

After getting their creative caps on, youngsters from Rhymes Nursery in Brockhill achieved a number of successes, including Louise Quirke whose artistic ideas won her an art set and baseball cap.
