Magic sound of music

THE sound of South America will fill the Palace Theatre as a new concert club aimed at children and families announced its second event.

Since its launch in January, the mini music society now goes by the name of ZauberZone, meaning magic zone', and it is hoped that the young people who attend the events will continue to enjoy going to concerts throughout their adulthood, ensuring the continuation of local arts organisations.

Music teacher and group founder Emily Jane Tyrrell, said: "I'm really excited about this concert. Caliche are a South American group whose energetic performances and vast array of musical instruments never fail to amaze their audiences.

"Their performance combines beautiful flute and panpipe melodies with rhythmic, upbeat guitar and percussion playing and, if you're lucky, you might even be able to help recreate the sounds of the rainforest. "

The event will take place on Saturday, May 17 at 2pm in The Room Upstairs at the Palace and more information can be found on zauberzone@gmail.com or by ringing 07725 893744.

Tickets are available on 65203.
