Mum and child robbed

A YOUNG woman was robbed while out for a walk with her young child in Arrow Valley Country Park.

The victim, a woman in her early 20s, and her child were in the park at about 3pm on Wednesday, April 23 when she noticed a man following her.

After entering a wooded area near to the south end of the lake, the male approached the victim, pushed her and took her mobile phone, a black Samsung G600 worth £300.

He ran off in the direction of Lakeside Industrial Park. The offender was a white male, aged 18 to 19 years, 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build, with blue eyes, and wearing black jogging bottoms and a black hooded jacket which had white writing on the back with the name Henley and possibly diamante studs.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call Pc Ceri Grant at Redditch Police on 08457 444888 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
