A TOTAL of 1,527 fly tipping incidents last year cost Redditch £105,553, a new Countryside Alliance report has revealed.
The alliance released the statistics in the build up to National Fly-tipping Awareness Week, which begins on Monday, and aims to raise the profile of the problem.
The total cost to Worcestershire local authorities of people unlawfully dumping rubbish in the year to April 2006 was more than £260,000.
