THE Redditch visitors to Auxerre at Easter came back with names of several young people who were anxious to come to Redditch this summer, Mr Norman Summers, chairman, told a meeting of The Friends of Auxerre on Friday evening.
"If any of you are interested or know anyone else who is interested in accepting either a boy or girl from France, do please let us know," he said.
A certain amount of money was available, he added, to provide "scholarships" to bring the children over here. The ages ranged from 12 to about 18.

Speaking of their stay in Auxerre, Mr Summers said he could not speak too highly of the accommodation they had been given.
Nothing had been too good for the visitors and he hoped that when people from Auxerre visited Redditch it would be possible to give them the same kind of treatment.
