AN April fool hoax by a Redditch fish hook firm ended up on the pages of the national newspapers, television and radio.
The Guardian, Midlands Today and Radio One all carried the hoax by AE Partridge and Sons of Mount Pleasant - which even fooled someone in the Government's Central Office of Information.
It was over a hook six inches long and supposedly designed by the firm to catch crocodiles in Nigeria.

Managing director Alan Bramley sent out a press release which described how the £23 hooks were used.
He said fishermen made up artificial lizards which they tied to hooks in much the same way as fly fishermen would dress a fly.
