THE first glimpse of the shape of things to come in the Unicorn Hill re-building scheme was given by Councillor WJ Hunt at an "Any Questions" forum held at Astwood Bank last Friday evening by the Bromsgrove Division Conservative Association.

He said the buildings to be erected there would be more or less parallel with Evesham Street.

With Mr Hunt on the panel were Mr James Dance, MP Councillor W Allcock of Redditch, and Mr Neville Jackson of Studley.

The question was asked by Mr HRJ Feeny, of Feckenham and in reply Councillor WJ Hunt, who had taken the place of county councillor E Gittus, of Stoke Prior, said the plans were not yet on the drawing board.

Councillors had seen sketch plans, however, he said, which showed office accommodation and showrooms with maisonettes overhead.

There would not be one straight facade down Unicorn Hill.
