THE districts around Redditch, including Ipsley, Studley, Beoley and Callow Hill, have been peculiarly unfortunate in the matter of sheep worrying for some years past.

The outbreaks have occurred at pretty regular periods, and have always been of a serious nature, but worst as a rule at the lambing season, when the farmers have quite enough trouble on their hands without the added evil of destructive dogs among their flocks.

There was a bad case in the district only a week or two back, and within the past week or so extensive damage has been done to sheep on farms at Ipsley, Beoley and Studley, as reported in another column.

The dogs which have done the foul work must have been powerful brutes, from the fearful injuries inflicted.

Some of the lambs were bitten clear across the loins at one grip and several of the large sheep killed had their throats completely torn out besides being otherwise mutilated.
