A MOTHER whose two-month-old daughter cheated death owes her neighbour a "debt she can never repay".
Baby Claire Clump was found "dead" in her cot at the family's Dolben Lane home by her father when he went to wake her for a feed.
But quick-thinking neighbour Rita Rahim answered the parent's frantic calls for help and gave the baby the kiss of life.
Mother Rosie Clump, 20, said she started to panic when they found the baby wasn't breathing.
"I was having hysterics and ran to my neighbour screaming," she said.
"Rita was marvellous and I don't know what we would have done without her.
"It's something we can never thank her enough for and a debt we can never repay."
Baby Claire is now at home and fully recovered.
