THE Redditch Boy Scouts are in a spot after selling more tickets for tomorrow night's closing performance of the 1958 Gang Show than there are seats available.

This was possibly due, said Mr C L Brunt, the district commissioner, to the fact that more tickets had been printed than were ordered and they were sold before this was realised.

The Bridley Moor School Hall, where the Gang Show is being staged on the last three evenings of the week, holds 550 people and 629 tickets have been sold.

In addition, Mr Brunt said they would expect at least 150 or 200 people to turn up hoping to get in at the door.

"They will be wasting their time," he said. "There will be no room for them."

There are still a limited number of seats available for Friday night, but 1,400 tickets have been sold altogether.
