WE seem to see far too much of the usual propaganda being pedalled by Robin King . . . yet again, this time re Hartlebury Castle for sale.
Mr King would do well as a councillor to tell the facts as they are, not as he so regularly and wrongly assumes them.
I read with interest the counter argument that no decision has been made on the museum based in the castle as it is still up for discussion. Councillors will have the chance to air their views on the matter in the correct manner - you too Mr King!
Secondly, he complains of the refurbishment to County Hall. Again, I read with interest the counter argument that some of the work is to improve access and facilities, some for disabled people.
Mr King said recently, in your columns, the spending on such a plan is "deplorable". Well it's good to hear your view that the disabled community should be excluded from participating.
As a disabled person myself, I can assure him of the frustration I suffer whenever I visit the Rediitch Town Hall due to the hearing loop system never working. Consequently, I do not go to many meetings.
As the idea is to include all areas of the community, I find Mr King's comments both bigoted and deplorable' and as usual, short of the facts.
No doubt this will enthuse Mr King to write another one of his back-pedalling' further explanatory letters - which again we should all be aware, will probably be economic on the truth.
