I HAVE received a letter from Jacqui Smith, our Redditch MP, regarding the Polyclinics'.
She claims the debate has been dominated by the media and the BMA. And she claims there is no national plan to introduce Polyclinics'. But if this were true, how come on the back of her letter she states that "152 new GP led health centres are on the way.
So if they're not going to be called Polyclinics' what are they going to be called? I have also heard that they will be privately run', and will be money based'. Not thinking of the patients!
She also quotes over two million patients are already choosing to use the new services.
Does our MP know what she is doing? On the front of her letter she states there is no national plan to introduce Polyclinic's', yet on the back of her letter says "152 new GP's led health centres to be on the way."
My question is - where is the money going to come from for these 152 new centres?
