State of roads

I HAVE sent a letter to the Prime Minister regarding my concern over the dangerous state of local roads, asking him to take the necessary actions to promulgate their repair at the earliest opportunity.

When I came to Redditch over 20 years ago, the roads were amongst the best in the country.

Now they are dangerous and clearly in need of urgent attention.

I have written to the PM saying I have done so, because I am tired of hearing local councillors blame county councillors, who in turn blame the Government - so my letter has also been addressed to all interested parties.

I pay all my taxes yet none of these vast amounts are being invested in Redditch roads, or seemingly anywhere else in the country.

We have an election system which has been described in part "as akin to a Banana Republic" - our roads are reaching that point.
