Small world...

READERS may be interested to know that as a result of an item in the Advertiser/Chronicle's Society News' some months ago - when I gave a talk about my naval career - I received a letter from New Zealand.

This correspondence asked me for any information I had about a Petty Officer who served in HMS Hermione at the same time as myself!

I am now in regular correspondence with the gentlemen in NZ and, upon asking where he got the report from he told me it was from reading it in the paper.

It just shows what a small world it is.

Many thanks also to the paper for publishing my reports so regularly as they do help us to maintain our membership!.
