AS a frequent visitor to Redditch I would like to ask the management of the Kingfisher shopping complex this question.

Why is there no automatic/electric door to the Kingfisher centre from the bus terminal?

I am surprised there has not been a very serious accident here as shoppers, many of them elderly or with babies, struggle to open these heavy double doors with bags of shopping. There is no courtesy shown to anyone struggling to open these doors.

At the other entrance I note the doors are automatic.

Another point I would like to raise.

Why is there no information in the bus station?

The computer does not appear to work. There is no one to ask from which stand a certain bus goes from. A gantry or lit-up sign or an announcement of incoming or outgoing buses and the stand number for residents and visitors would be most welcome.

I would have expected bus timetables from the bus station but none available.

There is absolutely no one to ask. Two paces into the centre I found a leaflet. Others - I was told - were from the Palace. A considerable distance from the buses.

Surely the bus station should be a central point to find information and leaflets, especially with the train station opposite There does not appear to be a leaflet showing a map with all the routes in Worcestershire - so for the traveller it's almost impossible to plan a journey.

One other point the new' bus station is like a wind tunnel. In fact it is a wind tunnel to the disadvantage of passengers who have to put up with the cold and wind. I am surprised it was not better designed.

Perhaps a representative could reply to my questions/suggestions.
