‘Waste’ of time

I HAVE heard it expressed that Redditch Borough Council invented the word bureaucracy'.

This may not be true, but they most certainly perfected it.

This week their recyclable waste disposal analysts and hygiene operatives' - the bin men - refused to empty my bin from my assisted (?) collection area because it contained a prohibited item, ie a 6 inch x 4 inch plastic sweet bag.

Apparently, these offensive items are to be diposed of in the general household waste destined for a landfill site, where - being non-bio-degradable, they can remain hazardous for years What a mess this so called system is!

Highly confused
