Relay For Life awareness event
ANYONE who is interested in taking part in this year's Relay For Life is being invited to a special awareness event.
The night, at Studley Road Social Club, will give people the chance to speak to survivors and teams who are already taking part and find out more information about the 24 hour event.
The hope is to show the progress and success of research and the reason why communities continue to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
A spokesman for Relay For Life said: "Whether people have already registered as a survivor, are just thinking of coming along on the day, are interested in the event but are not sure what it's all about, or are family members supporting a survivor, all are welcome.
"For those who have never been to a Relay For Life before we will be explaining a little of what it's all about and there will be an opportunity to register for this year's event.
"We will also be giving details of our new venue at S E Davis and Son in Astwood Bank and explaining the special arrangements we have in place."
The awareness night is on Tuesday, May 13 from 7.30pm.
For more information email relayforliferedditch@live.co.uk or call 07768 714498.
One of the teams taking part in this year's event, Pip's Posse, will be dressed in a Wild West theme and need a set of stocks to use for fundraising on the day.
Anyone who can help can contact Pip Everard on 877171.
