Alcester Conservative Wives
ALCESTER Conservative Wives' annual dinner was held in April when members enjoyed an excellent lunch at Essence restaurant in Alcester.

MEMBERS and guests of Inkberrow Horticultural Society enjoyed a right royal treat on St George's Day when David Howard, the Estate Manager at Highgrove, The Prince of Wales' estate in Gloucestershire, gave a talk on The Philosophy of Highgrove.

THE newly formed Bromsgrove and Redditch fund raising committee for Guide Dogs for the Blind recently held a collection outside Morrisons which raised £1,878.

ON April 1, Bob Davis gave a very informative and entertaining talk about Worcester Porcelain and used pieces from his own collection to illustrate the various styles of porcelain produced, since the company was started in 1751.

THE club meets every Tuesday at 7.45pm at the Webheath Village Hall, Heathfield Road, Redditch, Worcestershire (unless otherwise stipulated).

The Redditch Society
THE AGM took place on March 14. After the completion of the business there was a talk by Gill Wiggins, a member of the society, on her visits to Baffin Island she has made on three occasions, each time at a different period of the year which enabled her to see the varying appearances of the island.
