A WEBSITE run by local people that champions the best businesses in Redditch, has been voted the top Innovative Business of the Year at the Fast Growth Business Awards 2008.
Along with other franchisees in thebestof group, thebestof Redditch beat hundreds of companies including Broadbean Technology and Challs International to achieve winning status.
The awards, organised by Crimson Business, were presented at a black tie dinner in London, and have become recognised by many as a spotlight for entrepreneurial excellence.
Linsey Knight, who runs thebestof Redditch, said: "We're absolutely delighted.
"Over this last year we have launched some very innovative schemes, such as our review pages and monthly awards, and it's just great to be recognised for our forward thinking and entrepreneurial vision, especially from a selection of such highly regarded entrepreneurs and businessmen."
A panel of judges included Peter Jones, star of BBC's Dragons' Den, Simon Kossoff, MD of Carluccios and Rene Carayol, business guru and TV presenter.
Nigel Botterill, CEO of thebestof, said: "Without thebestof Redditch's creative thinking and excellent service to its community we wouldn't have been rewarded with this award.
"Linsey Knight is an invaluable asset to the team and richly deserves to share in this achievement."
