Harvest food collection

THE Bridge Church in Headless Cross recently collected a bumper pack of food items for the NewStarts Emergency Food bank.

The collection was part of the harvest season and saw pupils from Walkwood School add to the collection as well as celebrate in the church.

All the food will now go toward people on very low incomes or in financial crisis, and those recently made homeless.

Rev Jo Musson said: "In these days of economic hardship, we were overwhelmed at people's generosity and delighted to be able to share something with people who are in crisis situations.

“Our church is already beautiful, but at Harvest it looks especially stunning, with beautiful harvest flowers and a fabulous display of provisions.”
