Redditch Tesco store stands up to cancer

REDDITCH shoppers are being urged to stand up to cancer by dropping off unwanted clothes and accessories at their local Tesco.

It is part of Tesco’s Big Shop & Drop Weekend, aiming to generate goods for Cancer Research UK shops and raise money for life-saving research.

The event takes place on October 20 and 21 with the Tesco Extra in Oakenshaw participating.

It is just one of the ways people can support Stand up to Cancer, a new national fundraising campaign.

Jane Redman, from Cancer Research UK, said: “We are asking everyone to check their wardrobes and sort out anything that no longer fits or they have fallen out of love with.

“Donations don’t need to be Jimmy Choos or designer dresses - just good quality shoes, clothes or other goods that someone else will find useful.”

To say thank you, participating customers will be rewarded with a £5 voucher to redeem against £20 of Tesco clothing.
