Acoustic blues and massed kazoos show
3:00pm Sunday 14th October 2012 in Local
Oliver Carpenter from Mumbo-Jumbo with handfuls of kazoos
CLOSE-harmony, eclectic, semi-acoustic piano-led wonder Mumbo-Jumbo will be coming to Redditch.
Nominated in the Best Song Award of the British Blues Awards 2012, Mumbo-Jumbo are currently creating a stir on their current tour.
And for good reason - as everyone in the audience will get a free kazoo for part of the show.
The band, which plays festivals, clubs, theatres, and pubs across the country, brings together three top Midlands acoustic musicians to produce an eclectic acoustic sound that is all their own.
They have had a successful summer with appearances at the Great British R&B Festival, Banbury Blues Festival, Nantwich Festival, Upton Blues Festival, Blues at The Fold, Taurus Music Festival, Jinney Ring Blues Festival, and Hay Philosophy Festival.
The band’s new CD Life of Riley launched early this year to rave reviews for the musicianship and songwriting and plenty of radio play.
As part of the tour the band is coming to The Room Upstairs at The Palace Theatre in Redditch on November 9.
Tickets cost £8 from the theatre box office on 01527 65203 or online at redditchpalacetheatre.org.uk.
