BOSOM Friends Cancer Support Group recently held its sixth bi-annual fashion show in the marquee at Barnt Green Cricket Club.

The show was a huge success with more than 270 attending and raising £2,150 for breast cancer charities.

All the models who took part have undergone breast cancer therapy and the theme for the evening was James Bond – Diamonds are Forever, hosted by Radio presenter Paul Burrell with a Shirley Bassey tribute singer.

Many of the glamorous outfits were kindly provided by Continental Collections of Barnt Green and Belovely Designs.

A spokemsman said: “We would like to thank our sponsors, local shops, businesses and all attendees who supported the event.

“The show was an amazing experience for the models and truly moving for family and friends to watch.  The event really showed the group’s view that people can survive breast cancer and go on to lead full lives.”

Bosom Friends is a breast cancer support group that meets every third Tuesday of the month. The venue for meetings alternates between the Alexander Hospital in Redditch and the Primrose Hospice in Bromsgrove. New members are welcome.
