FLOWERS, garlands and grass skirts were the order of the day at a Redditch-based firm as staff said ‘aloha’ to a charity fundraising event.

Staff at Alpha Care Homes head office, in Croft House, Moons Moat Drive, took part in Macmillan Cancer’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

And alongside their tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes, they decided to liven up the day by opting to wear fancy dress outfits – Hawaiian style.

Alpha Care Homes owns 11 care homes offering specialist residential, nursing and dementia care throughout the West Midlands and south east of England

Tracey York, business development assistant at Alpha Care Homes, said: “Many of our homes held their own coffee morning events and as a group we aimed to raise as much money as possible, whilst having a bit of fun along the way. So far we’ve raised around £250 across the company.”

Approximately 30 members of staff at the Redditch office took part.
