A TEAM from Redditch were among 600 ladies who swept through Birmingham’s city centre as part of Acorns Midnight Walk.

The magical event, which took place last week, was an  opportunity to raise cash and support for local life limited children.

A buzz was in the air as the team, Tracey Ames, Zoe Lee, Bobbi Williams, and Deanne Hastilow, warmed up in Victoria Square to prepare for the 10km walk around the city.

A grand total of £45,000 was raised.

Philippa Gay, who helped organise the event, said: “We are so pleased that we had such a great turn out which made for an incredible atmosphere on the night.

“We’re grateful to everyone involved who helped make the event a success, and to all the ladies that walked and helped to raise such a fantastic amount.”

The event serves as a reminder that a good night’s sleep is hard to come by when caring for a life limited child.
