Ant Hill prepares to compere Laughter by the Lake
REDDITCH’S newest comedy show is hoping to reel in the laughs as some of the town’s finest comedians take the stage lakeside at Arrow Valley Visitors Centre.
Stand up comedy acts from Redditch and across the UK are set for Laughter by the Lake which kicks off at 7.30pm on Friday, September 28, in what award-winning event compere Ant Hill hopes will become a feature of the town’s night life.
He said: “The venue is sublime and the acts are some of the best I’ve seen. If you love live comedy or want to see why stand-up is flourishing, come and join us. I’ve looked at the TV for Friday and it’s wall-to-wall reality shows and repeats. Turn it off, come and see a show you’ll really enjoy.”
“With a mixture of local legends and up-and-coming acts we have selected six of the best from the local and national comedy circuit. Each has a very different style and it’ll make a unique and memorable evening of laugher and surprises.”
Tickets are £5 and parking is free. Reserve tickets on 01527 542748 to collect them on the door, and any unreserved tickets will be available on the night.
The night is for over 16s only.
