PACT meeting to be held in Redditch supermarket

WEST Mercia Police, Redditch Council and Worcestershire County Council will be on hand to answer queries from residents of Astwood Bank, Crabbs Cross, Headless Cross, Oakenshaw and Webheath during a forthcoming event.

To make it even easier for residents to take part in this community forum, the PACT (Partners and Communities Together) event will be held in Tesco Extra on Coldfield Drive from 2-7pm on Thursday, September 27.

Ward member Councillor Carole Gandy, who will be there from 5.15-6.30pm, said: “We have held a number of these events in the last couple of years and they have always been popular.

“Making ourselves accessible in a well-used public place makes it even easier for residents to get in touch with us – and what better place than a supermarket.”

Council leader Bill Hartnett, who will be at the event from 5-6pm, said: “Hearing from our residents is high on our list so we can tailor services to suit their needs. If we don’t listen, we won’t find out.”
