Towns and villages bloom in competition

WORCESTERSHIRE towns and villages have enjoyed another strong showing in the Heart of England in Bloom competition.
Redditch picked up a gold award in the highly competitive Small City Category at Thursday’s presentation ceremony in Birmingham.
Studley enjoyed success in the in the Small Town Category, claiming a gold as well.
There was also success for Matchborough First School which picked up a gold in the school results.
Chairman of Heart of England in Bloom, Mike Garwood said: “Everyone is proud to be involved with In Bloom which is one of the largest horticultural campaigns in Europe and even more so when they receive their prestigious awards.”
