Safe and cash taken during Redditch burglary

POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information following a burglary at a home in Redditch.

It happened between noon on Saturday, September 8 and 8.45am the following morning in Kingscote Close.

Thieves entered the house and stole a small free-standing safe, some cash, an iPod Nano worth £150 and a Babyliss shaver worth £50.

Detective Constable Colin Millward from Redditch CID said: "We would like to hear from anyone who remembers seeing suspicious activity in the area during Saturday or Sunday morning or thinks they know who is responsible.

"It is likely that the thieves would have used a vehicle, particularly as they stole a safe, so we would also like to know if anyone remembers seeing any unusual vehicles parked in the area."

Witnesses or anyone with information about the burglary should contact Det Con Millward on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident 175-S-090912, or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
