Ghanaian man accused of falsely obtaining passpost is refused bail

A MAN from Ghana accused of falsely obtaining a UK passport while living in Redditch has been refused bail.

Prince Boafa, aged 31, of Mount Pleasant, has been in custody since his arrest on August 29, Worcester Crown Court heard.

He allegedly used a falsely obtained UK passport to get a driving licence and a National Insurance number.

Judge Patrick Thomas turned down an application for bail because there were grounds to believe he would not attend a future court hearing.
