Redditch woman fined for continually annoying neighbours with loud music
10:10am Thursday 6th September 2012 in Local
A BATCHLEY woman has been fined £415 after continually annoying her neighbours with loud music.
On August 28 at Redditch magistrates court, Tasha Andrews, aged 19, of Cedar Road, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a noise abatement notice.
The notice was served by Worcestershire Regulatory Services who had previously seized several hundreds of pounds of audio and computer equipment on two occasions.
The court heard how the noise still continued at excessive volumes for prolonged periods, often into the early hours.
Head Of Worcestershire Regulatory Services, Steve Jorden, said: “This case is a testament to the tenacity of our officers, who will refuse to allow the actions of an inconsiderate few destroy the quality of life that all people should be entitled to.
“The service receives many thousands of complaints of noise each year. Those responsible for causing nuisance in their communities can expect to be prosecuted if they refuse to act in a legal and reasonable manner.”
