STAFF at a Redditch loft conversion company have raised more than £7,000 for charity, with a mammoth effort to climb the three highest peaks in England, Wales, and Scotland.

Russell Annis, Mick Gavin, Dave Powell, Matthew Adams and Suzanne Wadlow at Charles Grosvenor Ltd, took on the Three Peaks Challenge over the weekend of July 20 and 21, successfully climbing Scafell Pike, Snowdon, and Ben Nevis.

Between them they managed to raise an impressive £7,063 for Cancer Research UK.

Ms Wadlow said: “We left Redditch at 5am Friday morning and drove straight to Ben Nevis, we completed the climb by 10.30pm and then drove through the night to Scafell Pike in the Lake District. After climbing Scafell Pike we then drove to Wales and climbed Snowdon before returning to Redditch In the early hours of Sunday morning.

“We would all like to thank everyone that sponsored us for their kind generosity and support and would also like to especially thank Jonathan Bough for his time and patience driving us 1,100 miles throughout the challenge.”
