OFFICERS searching for a missing Redditch man have found a man's body in woodland, near to where the 25-year-old's car was found abandoned on the M42.
Thomas Ryan was reported missing at about 3pm on Tuesday, June 5 by his parents after he failed to return home.
By then, his car had already been found by motorway police between junction 1 and 2 of the motorway.
Officers immediately launched a search, but the body of a man was found near Coopers Hill in the Alvechurch area on Wednesday night, at around 8pm.
Formal identification is due to take place today and the death is currently being treated as unexplained.
The coroner for Worcestershire has been informed and a post mortem examination will take place in due course. The death is not thought to be suspicious.
