Residents asked for views on new vicar

A QUESTIONNAIRE asking residents who they think should replace The Rev Richard Deimel when he leaves has been produced.

The vicar of the Anglican churches in the villages of Studley, Mappleborough Green, Oldberrow and Morton Bagot, will be leaving in early September to take up a new appointment in the Durham Diocese.

The challenge now facing congregations is to find a successor.

In order to do that, a parish profile has been set up and advertising for a new incumbent and interviewing candidates is due to get under way.

A questionnaire has also been produced and is intended to allow residents to have their say on who should be the new vicar.

Anybody who lives in any of the four villages can complete the questionnaire and return it to the Parish Office by August 29.

It is available in all four churches as well as online at www.ardenmarches.co.uk.
