Mum wins dream dress for bride-to-be daughter

A REDDITCH mum has given her daughter the best gift ever, her dream wedding dress.

Tina Speechley, 58, a shop assistant from Abbeydale entered a competition run by Kingfisher Shopping Centre.

Not only did she win a £1,000 Kingfisher gift card and numerous other prizes from the centre’s stores, she also won a £300 dress from Fine and Fancy.

This couldn’t have come at a better time as Tina’s daughter, Laura Parker, 23, is getting married this year and was delighted to find her dream wedding dress in the store.

Now Tina, who has four children and 10 grandchildren, and Laura, are looking forward to a special day thanks to Kingfisher Shopping Centre and Fine and Fancy.

Tina said: “I am thrilled. Every mother wants to give her daughter a special wedding day and I have, thanks to Kingfisher. It is my birthday in March and I’m going to treat myself to a new hairstyle from Toni and Guy and perhaps a new outfit from Next.”

Kingfisher Shopping Centre’s manager, Amanda Phillips, said: “Tina is the final winner in the £12,000 gift card promotion run by Kingfisher during 2009. We have another range of spectacular competitions planned for this year and I’d urge shoppers to enter – there’s nothing to loose.”
