Cinema Society screens classics

THERE’S a chance to see a classic family favourite, guaranteed to get the audience tapping their toes this weekend, as the FeckenOdeon Cinema Society is showing one of the greatest Disney films 'The Jungle Book'.

Baloo the Bear and Mowgli will be exploring the depths of the jungle with more than a little jazzy style on Saturday, February 13.

Alternatively, for those who might be wanting something a little more thoughtful, the society is also screening one of the first films in the career of Leonardo DiCaprio, 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape', being shown on Friday, February 12.

The film, for which DiCaprio received his first Academy Award nomination at the tender age of 16, sees him star alongside Johnny Depp and Juliette Lewis in a cult favourite about a distinctly oddball family.

So whether it feels like more of a sing-a-long occasion, or a contemplative affair, the FeckenOdeon Cinema Society is offering up the chance to catch either on the big screen.

'What's Eating Gilbert Grape' is showing at 8pm, while 'The Jungle Book' is being shown at 3.15pm.

Tickets are on sale at The Rose and Crown and The Village Shop in Feckenham or they can be booked online at www.feckenodeon.co.uk Tickets are priced at £4.50 for adults or £3.50 for under 14s (matinee only).
