THE opening of Redditch's six-storey car park 7, which has undergone a £500,000 refurbishment, has had to be delayed due to the impact of sustained adverse weather conditions.
It was hoped that the car park would open this week, but according to Kingfisher's Centre Manager, Amanda Phillips, it could be another two weeks before work is complete.
Amanda said: "We are really disappointed that we've had to delay the opening as we had been looking forward to presenting a modern and safe parking facility to Redditch workers and shoppers.
“Unfortunately the freezing weather has played havoc with our construction schedule and we believe it could be another two weeks before it will be ready to open.
“We would like to thank Redditch residents for their continued support and patience. Please be assured we are working hard to open as soon as safely possible.”
