A CAKE sale on what would have been the fifth birthday of a Bromsgrove girl will raise funds in her memory.

Jenny Hughes, of Redditch, will hold a cake sale at SE Davis and Son, on Edgioake Lane in Astwood Bank, on April 26, in memory of Libby Mae Sharratt.

After her birth, Libby was immediately transferred to the neonatal unit as she was struggling to breath.

She died two weeks later following complications of the heart.

Her parents Charlotte and Richard Sharratt, from Catshill, launched Libby Mae's Little Angels in her memory.

Their charity raises money for neo-natal units across the Midlands and all funds raised at the cake sale will support their cause.

Jenny said: "Libby Maes charity is an amazing charity that raise money to buy items for neonatal units in the Midlands.

"They lost their daughter five ago and since then they have done some amazing work putting their time and efforts into supporting newborns in the area.

"They are personal friends of ours also and we work with them to help on their events."

The event opens from 9.30am and all are invited.
