HUNGRY diners from across Bromsgrove and Redditch are expected to turn out for Britain's Biggest Breakfast, as it returns to Tardebigge this Saturday.

The annual breakfast at Tardebigge Community Hall is hosted by Bromsgrove Farmers Club, who volunteer to cook, serve and wash up for around 500 people every year.

This year, more local suppliers have donated their products, including Rowberry's at Chaddesley Corbett, which is providing the tomatoes and mushrooms, and Bromsgrove's Banner Foods, which is supplying the black pudding.

The event is free to attend, but all donations collected on the day will be split between Cancer Research UK and the Primrose Hospice.

Co-organiser Helen Hirons said: "The Biggest Breakfast is always a great community event and really brings everyone together.

"I've been organising the event for 14 years and it grows every year. We've raised more than £38,000 to date.

"Cancer is a terrible disease that affects everybody. My brother's going through it at the moment. So it's a great way to do something positive to raise money for these great charities."

Visitors can take part in games and activities at the breakfast, which runs from 8.30am to midday, including a bouncy castle and tombola.
