TRINITY High School recently ran its annual careers fair and welcomed a very special guest.

Jenny Wheeler, mayor of Redditch, attended and commented on how much the students seemed to be enjoying getting so much information, advice and guidance from the exhibitors.

There were more than 40 exhibitors at the fair, including local businesses, universities and colleges, apprenticeship schemes, NHS, Police and many more.

The mayor, who has an educational background, firstly being a teacher in mainstream, moving into leadership and then teaching students with learning difficulties, said: “It is so very important for children to be able to obtain all of this information so that they are able to make the right career choices for their futures.

"Well done to the school for organising such a fantastic event which has been tailored to the needs of the students and will support these young people greatly."
