PUPILS at Feckenham First School are celebrating after unveiling new play equipment, costing £10,000.

After being installed in October by ESP Play, youngsters were finally able to try out their new outdoor play equipment.

This included a Tangled Lynx, a double sided traverse climbing wall, a wobbly bridge and sensory/learning boards all based on a rubber all weather surface.

The equipment which cost £10,000 to install was a combination of PA fundraising by Friends of Feckenham School, school funds and significant donations from two local councillors, Jane Potter and Roger Bennett.

Headteacher Jeanette Little said “We are delighted to have such a dedicated fundraising team through Friends of Feckenham School.

"The play equipment has already made a huge difference to the free time our pupils have - the excitement was reaching fever pitch up until the official opening. Many thanks to councillors Potter and Bennett for their donations towards our superb new addition.”

The school is holding a Christmas fete on November 24 from 5pm to 7pm with Santa’s grotto, chocolate and bottle tombolas and other stalls.
