A FIRE at a building in Redditch caused the road to be closed for nearly two hours.
Emergency service crews were called to reports of heavy smoke coming from a building in Oakly Road at around 12pm on Thursday (November 9).
It is not believed anyone was injured in the incident.
West Mercia Police closed the road, while firefighters dealt with the fire. The road was reopened shortly before 2.30pm.
A spokesman from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "One crew from Bromsgrove and three crews from Redditch attended the building fire.
"Neighbours were evacuated while the fire was extinguished.
"All persons were accounted for. Police and ambulance service were also in attendance."
